Dear Ms. Echevarria:
On behalf of Family Circle Ministries dba Friends Over Fences, I am writing to request that the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners sponsor the Local Share Municipal Grant Application that we intend to submit for the 2023-2024 grant cycle for our property at 53 W. Street, Middletown, PA 17057
As you will see from the enclosed (RESOLUTION OR LETTER], the Borough of Middletown has agreed to be a co-applicant on our application. As such, we are seeking County sponsorship based on our co-applicant’s status as a non-contiguous municipality located within Dauphin County.
Friends Over Fences plays an important role within the Borough of Middletown to provide and develop quality affordable housing opportunities for individuals and families while promoting self-sufficiency and neighborhood revitalization.
To further our mission, we intend to apply for local share funding to finish the renovations including a new roof, exterior painting of window trim, fascia and soffit, install new donated windows and encase exterior windowsills with aluminum sheeting.
This project is important to our community and will benefit the Borough of Middletown and the County by upgrading and adding value to the property.
To advance the project, we intend to apply for a grant of up to $75,000.00.
